We’re taking this update as a time to run a long overdue activity check! Keep an eye out for that thread in the coming weeks for more info!


New Layout!
More than just a new layout, we have new code as well! And with this sleek new update comes new surprises: Posting style options! Users will have the ability to choose between two posting style, vertical and horizontal.

To change between the two simply go to your User CP > Your Profile > Edit Options > and check/uncheck Display Posts in Classic Mode


Checking this box will enable the vertical posting style, and unchecking it will enable horizontal!


The coding was done by our wonderful Kat, who works behind the scenes to help keep Antarsia up and running! Thank you so much, Kat <3 Antarsia wouldn’t be what it is without you!


But there’s more to this new layout than shiny new code. We now have gorgeous land art done by Han! Han has done a lot of art for members of Antarsia, and we’re glad to finally have his gorgeous art front and center on the forum. He’s done an amazing job breathing life into the different realms of the land, so make sure to give them a good look!


Staff has been busy converting the old skins to the new layout, many with improved colors! We’ll be rolling out new skins in the future, too, and if you have a theme suggestion feel free to drop it off in Suggestions and we’ll see what we can do!

WEATHER AND DAY IN CHARACTER
We are currently working on an additional tab on the new layouts that will show major weather events and the date in character! Please be patient with us as we handle this undertaking. Currently the date is Haliea 25th!


Chibi Bases!
At long last we finally have the first round of chibi bases ready for release! With art by Han, these stunning bases will be used to create pieces for members of their beloved characters! These bases have different horns, wings, scales, tails, etc all to help you capture or create your character! If there’s a feature or mutation you need, we’ll help get it added to the base!


For this first batch we have dragons (eastern, western, and wyvern) and lions, oh my!

Plot!
The King is Dead!
The tyrannical king of the Main Branch of the Western dragons has been assassinated by a rather strange pair: a tarsian and a feline kelahati.


The tarsian issued a warning to the court before leaving: “As the King lays dead a new one is to be found. The line of succession is void, and the new King will not be his heir or I shall return and wipe the lineage clean."


The court is in an uproar, and tensions are high over who will rise to take the throne before the king’s body has even gone cold.


Rumors that the dwarves will take advantage of this time of confusion abound.


The only ones celebrating this news are the races who were held under the weight of his iron claws, free from his tyranny for the first time in centuries.


The Living Dead???
The dead continue to rise at an alarming rate. Tears in the vikta still spawn and spread rapidly, and there have been reports of mysterious figures roaming the lands.


Have the gods truly forsaken us? Is this the end of the realm as we know it?


Please keep in mind that in four weeks we’ll be closing applications for bringing characters back from the dead! If you have a character that’s dead by default, now’s the time to bring them back, because there’s no telling when or if there will be another chance!

The Angel/Demon War
Demons and Angels alike keep chipping away at each other’s borders. Patrols of Famine demons keep crossing the Warring Wastes to raid farms of the angelic kingdoms of Plenty and Light. The royals are beginning to notice these brash daylight raids, and tensions are reaching a boiling point.


Some royal angels seek peace talks with the demons. Others seek war.


Either way, something is about to break. The question is: What?


Seeking Staff!
We’ll soon be opening positions for new moderators! As admins we’re always working hard, but we can’t always be online to manage the forum, so to help us keep the site running smoothly we’re seeking new mods!


Please keep your eyes out for that news post if you’re interested!



Quests!
We now have quests available for members to complete! Some of these quests involve slaying beasts or finding rare ingredients, others, well, you’ll have to see for yourself ;D


These quests will help you earn gold or items to use in roleplay. Some will be limited in the number of times you can do them, others will be limitless.


We’ll be adding more quests in the future, and if you’d like to write a quest head on over to our suggestions board!

Of the Month Awards!
We now have of the months! This will be determined by the members each month through votes. At the moment we’ll be featuring member of the month, character of the month, thread of the month, and relationship of the month! Relationship of the month doesn't have to be romantic, either. We’re treating it as an intense relationship; enemies, friends, or lovers to allow more relationships to see the spotlight!

Curse of the Wildblood!
We have a fresh new curse for you all! Cursed with the ability to only use the four core elements and forced to specialize, Wildbloods are attuned to nature and tend to live reclusive lives as a result.

Sorry it's been a while guys! Life hasn't been too friendly to any of us, but we are still here for you as always! Now lets roll out those updates!!!!


Plot!


The plot will be moving forward!! However time will not change! That is due to the fact rifts have been opening up across Antarsia and creatures that were once dead are coming back to life!  You can read more about that happening  HERE.
Just know none of these characters will have any memory of the afterlife. ; ) But feel free to use this to adopt out characters and help bond with more roleplayers!


New Species


There is a new species on site! It is called the Sandrian! Thank you to our fellow Aqua for making these species for us! You can find them HERE.

Antarsia is at war!


With the return of the dead, and with the rumors of the tragic condition of the Prince of Light, opportunistic demons began probing the Light Kingdom's border. Now, under the direction of the Reaper of Death, the demons have struck at a small town on the border. It is no longer raids and scouting runs. War has come again.

Welcome everyone, to the first Antarsia War. This will be a major event over the course of the next three real months. Everyone is freely welcome to participate in any way they see fit, fighting for either side or none at all. The conflict will be focused on the area of the map that is marked in this post. If you want to join in, all you have to do is make a thread with [War] in the name. Make sure to note where you are. Also this war is only in KATAKARTHIA

Every two weeks, a summary of events that have happened thus far will be listed, and the overall map will be updated to reflect the changing battlefield. At the end of the three month period, the new situation will be recorded.

As a note: The summary of events may not reflect the happenings in individual threads perfectly. (Example: Angels PCs could fight to hold a city, but actions elsewhere could doom the city regardless.) This is because the battlefield is large and complex. Have no fear, though, the action of your characters will shape this event!

News and Updates

It’s been a month without update, but the wait was hopefully worth it. We have a bunch of news, so bear with us as we go through it. One of the biggest things is….

Happy Birthday Antarsia!


A new year, and Antarsia has survived our first year! We couldn’t have done it without all of you guys, so thank you from the staff to you!! Staff has been working hard to bring new material to you guys and we really could not express how much it has meant to go on this journey with you all. For our 1st birthday, we have a few new things to celebrate our birthday! One of which is our god, Tharamos, has gotten into the birthday spirit. His skin has been updated to celebrate our birthday month. Go check it out!

New Badges!


Staff cannot express how much they appreciate everyone, so a new awards system has been installed to show just that! These awards are badges in the shape of triangular gems that each represent a different achievement! This can range from contributing to the site to participating in an event, being active in our Discord, etc. To kick things off, it is Antarsia’s 1st birthday so everyone will be receiving an award for being with us as we celebrate! If you have not received this award, let Achera know! It will be available to all who have logged in during January.

New Species, Curses, and Creatures!!


Please welcome the Nymphs, Seedlings, Sol’teras, Gargoyles, and Or’rix to our species page! The Nymphs were worked on by our very own @Immortal Cyan & @King Fury while the rest were done by @Kila! We also have Mimics that have been added to our curses page done by @Andromeda!

Bellonese have also gotten their artwork updated! You can thank our wonderful @Kila for that!

Plot Update!


Oh no! A third oracle has died! Aerithe, oracle of Zarkos, died publically in Prerio City square of what many believe to be suffocation.  Find out what happened in When Air Suffocates.

Timeskip!


The site time has moved forward to the 25th of Haliea. Please update your threads accordingly to reflect the new time.

Revamped Character Information!


To better help with navigation and Discord integration in the future, this section of the forum has been reorganized a bit. The Chat with Staff section has replaced the Questions section of the forum. While you can still ask questions on the forum, you can now do so in the Chat with Staff section! This section now includes Moving/Closing Threads, the Item Usage Tracker, and the new Add Characters to Guide thread! Anything that requires staff action will be placed in here.

The Looking for Threads and Thread Trackers section has now been changed to Looking for Threads and Plotting. Thread Trackers have moved to the revamped Character Journals and Thread Trackers section.

We also have introduced Wanted Ads! If you are looking to fill part of a character’s family, a new lover, etc. this is where you can post your request. This can be found in the revamped Character Adoptions and Wanted Ads.

Add Characters to Guide!


I mentioned this in the previous section, but this new thread is to help staff add your characters to the Character Directory! After characters have been accepted, the role-player is expected to post a small forum to this thread so staff can add them to the directory. You can check out the new section here.

Why fill a form? The coding we use can be complicated to keep adding characters to when we do 20+ at a time sometimes. So to make things easier, this little form breaks the information up so we can assembly-line the info into our code!

Guidebook Revamp!


The guidebook has reverted back to Tharamos’s Reign once more. It also has had the navigation rearranged so it makes more sense and easier to navigate. There have been a few new inclusions to various sections of the guidebook, so go take a peek!

Newbie Guide!


After what feels like forever, we finally have a newbie guide! This will help new members or potential members get an idea for how to navigate around the site. If you have any suggestions, feel free to ask a staff member found in the blue color!

Content Updates!


The Legends page has been updated to include 4 new legends, courtesy of @Kila. The Items page is also being revamped to include more thorough descriptions of some missing items we had in the shop.

Credits Page Added!


How have we gone this long without one?? Well fear no more! Check out our new credits page! We have all the credits for everything anyone has done to contribute to the site ranging from artwork to code, species, creatures, and more. It is broken down based on who is the original writer and who did edits if it was writing. If writing or artwork was done for our species and creatures, credits now appear under the basic information. Thank you everyone who has contributed. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Discord Integration!


We’re a big community on using our Discord, but we also have areas on the forum to use! So to support this, we have found ways to integrate our forum into Discord a bit better. These changes will be happening over the next month, but look out!

One of the biggest things is when someone posts in a specific area such as Looking for Threads, a message will show up in the Discord in the corresponding channel. This is to encourage you guys to post more to those areas on the board! Remember, you get gold (the site’s currency) to use for shop items when you post on the site!

We have also switched our cbox replacement from TitansEmbeds to widgetbot.io. It should provide a better experience to chat from the forum, so I encourage you all to use it! You can sign in with your discord there too, so it’ll be posted from your account with your name and avatar, just with BOT next to it! Widgetbot will allow for more fun features, so watch out for those as well slowly add them!

Mee6-kun is back! After Mee-kun worked so hard to give us levels along with Tatsu-kun, staff realized we didn’t need 2 leveling systems, so Mee-kun has been quietly waiting for a job. Well, staff is glad to bring back Mee-kun with Antarsia Fun Facts! These will be facts posted 1-2 times a day that reflect small facts about… well just about anything Antarsia related! This can range from info on the species to the gods, stuff staff did when contributing, to really anything! Enjoy and let Mee-kun know how much we’ve missed them!!

Referral Program!


Staff is excited to announce our new Referral Program! There are fun rewards to claim the more members who are referred by you! This can be redeemable for any member who has joined started January 1st, 2018 and will be available permanently. More information can be found in the Referral Program thread.


Map Update!


The maps of Antarsia have been updated to include all recognized locations in Antarsia. This include landmarks, shrines, cities, villages, and more! Every location that has a written description is now on the map, so go check it out!

We hope that you all enjoy the new features and thank you once more for celebrating this birthday with us!! 

On a more serious note, this is a reminder to please read our rules once more. Staff has been informed of users joining that do not follow the rules or are below the age requirement. It’s been a month without update, but the wait was hopefully worth it. We have a bunch of news, so bear with us as we go through it. One of the biggest things is….

Happy Birthday Antarsia!


A new year, and Antarsia has survived our first year! We couldn’t have done it without all of you guys, so thank you from the staff to you!! Staff has been working hard to bring new material to you guys and we really could not express how much it has meant to go on this journey with you all. For our 1st birthday, we have a few new things to celebrate our birthday! One of which is our god, Tharamos, has gotten into the birthday spirit. His skin has been updated to celebrate our birthday month. Go check it out!

New Badges!


Staff cannot express how much they appreciate everyone, so a new awards system has been installed to show just that! These awards are badges in the shape of triangular gems that each represent a different achievement! This can range from contributing to the site to participating in an event, being active in our Discord, etc. To kick things off, it is Antarsia’s 1st birthday so everyone will be receiving an award for being with us as we celebrate! If you have not received this award, let Achera know! It will be available to all who have logged in during January.

New Species, Curses, and Creatures!!


Please welcome the Nymphs, Seedlings, Sol’teras, Gargoyles, and Or’rix to our species page! The Nymphs were worked on by our very own @Immortal Cyan & @King Fury while the rest were done by @Kila! We also have Mimics that have been added to our curses page done by @Andromeda!

Bellonese have also gotten their artwork updated! You can thank our wonderful @Kila for that!

Plot Update!


Oh no! A third oracle has died! Aerithe, oracle of Zarkos, died publically in Prerio City square of what many believe to be suffocation.  Find out what happened in When Air Suffocates.

Revamped Character Information!


To better help with navigation and Discord integration in the future, this section of the forum has been reorganized a bit. The Chat with Staff section has replaced the Questions section of the forum. While you can still ask questions on the forum, you can now do so in the Chat with Staff section! This section now includes Moving/Closing Threads, the Item Usage Tracker, and the new Add Characters to Guide thread! Anything that requires staff action will be placed in here.

The Looking for Threads and Thread Trackers section has now been changed to Looking for Threads and Plotting. Thread Trackers have moved to the revamped Character Journals and Thread Trackers section.

We also have introduced Wanted Ads! If you are looking to fill part of a character’s family, a new lover, etc. this is where you can post your request. This can be found in the revamped Character Adoptions and Wanted Ads.

Add Characters to Guide!


I mentioned this in the previous section, but this new thread is to help staff add your characters to the Character Directory! After characters have been accepted, the role-player is expected to post a small forum to this thread so staff can add them to the directory. You can check out the new section here.

Why fill a form? The coding we use can be complicated to keep adding characters to when we do 20+ at a time sometimes. So to make things easier, this little form breaks the information up so we can assembly-line the info into our code!

Guidebook Revamp!


The guidebook has reverted back to Tharamos’s Reign once more. It also has had the navigation rearranged so it makes more sense and easier to navigate. There have been a few new inclusions to various sections of the guidebook, so go take a peek!

Newbie Guide!


After what feels like forever, we finally have a newbie guide! This will help new members or potential members get an idea for how to navigate around the site. If you have any suggestions, feel free to ask a staff member found in the blue color!

Content Updates!


The Legends page has been updated to include 4 new legends, courtesy of @Kila. The Items page is also being revamped to include more thorough descriptions of some missing items we had in the shop.

Credits Page Added!


How have we gone this long without one?? Well fear no more! Check out our new credits page! We have all the credits for everything anyone has done to contribute to the site ranging from artwork to code, species, creatures, and more. It is broken down based on who is the original writer and who did edits if it was writing. If writing or artwork was done for our species and creatures, credits now appear under the basic information. Thank you everyone who has contributed. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Discord Integration!


We’re a big community on using our Discord, but we also have areas on the forum to use! So to support this, we have found ways to integrate our forum into Discord a bit better. These changes will be happening over the next month, but look out!

One of the biggest things is when someone posts in a specific area such as Looking for Threads, a message will show up in the Discord in the corresponding channel. This is to encourage you guys to post more to those areas on the board! Remember, you get gold (the site’s currency) to use for shop items when you post on the site!

We have also switched our cbox replacement from TitansEmbeds to widgetbot.io. It should provide a better experience to chat from the forum, so I encourage you all to use it! You can sign in with your discord there too, so it’ll be posted from your account with your name and avatar, just with BOT next to it! Widgetbot will allow for more fun features, so watch out for those as well slowly add them!

Mee6-kun is back! After Mee-kun worked so hard to give us levels along with Tatsu-kun, staff realized we didn’t need 2 leveling systems, so Mee-kun has been quietly waiting for a job. Well, staff is glad to bring back Mee-kun with Antarsia Fun Facts! These will be facts posted 1-2 times a day that reflect small facts about… well just about anything Antarsia related! This can range from info on the species to the gods, stuff staff did when contributing, to really anything! Enjoy and let Mee-kun know how much we’ve missed them!!

Referral Program!


Staff is excited to announce our new Referral Program! There are fun rewards to claim the more members who are referred by you! This can be redeemable for any member who has joined started January 1st, 2018 and will be available permanently. More information can be found in the Referral Program thread.


Map Update!


The maps of Antarsia have been updated to include all recognized locations in Antarsia. This include landmarks, shrines, cities, villages, and more! Every location that has a written description is now on the map, so go check it out!

We hope you guys have enjoyed yourself this past month with our Nights of Corruption! Staff is sorry that it was a bit more scarce due to mainly of us getting sick, but we'll make it up to you! We have some new features and surprises for you guys, so look out! One of the new features is your avatar link will now link to your profile so you can get to it a lot easier!

October-Related Events Extended!


Due to staff being sick for most of the month, we have decided to extend the Nights of Corruption until November 14th. The Graveyard is now open and will be open until the end of the month, so make sure to cash in your feathers! Because we also weren't able to get to everything we wanted, we also have a few new species that were ready for release through the games.

The first is our October-exclusive species, the Bugbears! Go check out their page to read up on them. Again, since we didn't get around to it in time, they will be available all of November and then will not be able to be created until next October. The second is the addition of the Undead curse! Unlike Bugbears, these are available all year around with the other creepy curses such as Banshees and the Wendigos. All of these were done by the wonderful Kila <3

Speaking of @Kila ... Please welcome her to the admin team as a new Monarch! She's been working hard all the time to help provide the best new stuff for our member-base and we could not do it all without her. Go congratulate her! <3

New Alert System !


Some of you may have noticed this installed not too long ago if you checked your User Control Panel recently. We have installed a new alert system that is located between the User CP and Threadlog. This will alert you if you have subscribed to a thread, if someone has posted in a thread you started, you have been quoted, or mentioned which brings us to this new update. You can now mention people! Simply type "@" followed by their username and they will be alerted through this new system. You can control these settings through the User CP.
 

New Character List !


You guys asked and we have delivered! The character list has been updated to now be organized by species rather than the users. You can choose the species at the top by letter and it will scroll down to that species. The species are then further separated into their subspecies such as dragons are broken into eastern, western, wyverns, and sea serpents. We have also updated the Names Taken list to reflect all new characters. This will force everyone to use their character profiles to now list your characters if you would like others to be able to find them easier. Below is the code you can you to link your characters.

New Age-Restriction System !



We allow members 17+ and because of this, we must regulate explicit content to those under 18. We now have the prefixes [M] and [EX] that will mark off threads that contain mature material. While we always required the use of those tags in the title, the prefixes will prevent minors from viewing content they should not have access to. If you are 18+ and wish to view this content, just update your birthday!


New Icons !



Some of you may have noticed, but we have some new icons! We now have gems that will display underneath your avatars when you post on the forums! These little guys are linked to how many posts you have, so the more posts, the more gems you receive ;D We also have updated some of the icons in the shop! Staff has been busy and we're sorry to keep you guys waiting for this month's newsletter! We have a number of things to show you guys, so we're excited to share them with you. The biggest being this month's event!

The Vikta


The magic explanation has explanded to include the magical force in the world known as the Vikta. The Vikta is considered spirit energy in its rawest, purest form and is the source of all magic in the world. It is the embodiment of the souls of all living things from past to future. Some have come to consider it fate, while others believe it to just be the strongest magic known to all. It is thought to have existed long before the gods were ever created and in turn were what created Jaelanai, Goddess of Life, and Akros, God of Knowledge. You can read more about it here.

Nights of Corruption!


The Nights of Corruption are this month's event! The way that it goes is simple. Staff will be hosting AU events throughout the month where members can post in order to generate black feathers.  Black feathers are a currency that is only available during this event. Every time that a member posts a reply, it will generate between 1-10 feathers. If staff really likes the post, then you have a chance to receive a white feather worth 25 black feathers! These feathers can be used as currency in the Graveyard to make purchases that can vary from shop items to god favors/curses, staff appointed donations (art, coding, etc.), and more!

There will be no posting order on these. Once a day, staff will respond to all that have replied on the thread, generally the staff member who is hosting that thread. Obviously, the more you post the more feathers you will get to spend at the Graveyard! The Graveyard will open the last week of October and will be open until November 15th when it disappears until next year.  All unused feathers will disintegrate into ash come November 15th.

Throughout the month, we will add more AU events and we will be releasing more content throughout the site such as curses, species, creatures, and more. Some of these will be released through these AU events, so keep a look out for them! All games will be hosted in the Games Corner as well as the shop when it opens, so keep your eyes peeled for when staff opens up a new game! Remember: These are AU so they are not considered canon and some may not be set in Antarsia completely such as a modern day corn maze or something of the nature. Just have fun with this!

Not only have we got a new theme for the event, but we have a second theme to share with you guys! Please welcome out themes, Afraid of the Dark and Feaya's Dreams. Afraid of the Dark ties to this event as well as relates to the plot ;D It is classified as a dark theme, so those who do not like these kind should avoid it. Feaya's Dreams features our goddess, Feaya, in all her wonderful glory. This theme is classified as a light and bright theme so if that isn't your jam, it is best to avoid.

Afraid of the Dark has now taken over the guidebook. Tharamos has retired to his chambers and this new figure has arisen in his place. Who is this mysterious woman?]]>

The Chat with Staff section has replaced the Questions section of the forum. While you can still ask questions on the forum, you can now do so in the Chat with Staff section! This section now includes Moving/Closing Threads, the Item Usage Tracker, and the new Add Characters to Guide thread! Anything that requires staff action will be placed in here.

The Looking for Threads and Thread Trackers section has now been changed to Looking for Threads and Plotting. Thread Trackers have moved to the revamped Character Journals and Thread Trackers section.

We also have introduced Wanted Ads! If you are looking to fill part of a character’s family, a new lover, etc. this is where you can post your request. This can be found in the revamped Character Adoptions and Wanted Ads.

Add Characters to Guide!


I mentioned this in the previous section, but this new thread is to help staff add your characters to the Character Directory! After characters have been accepted, the role-player is expected to post a small forum to this thread so staff can add them to the directory. You can check out the new section here.

Why fill a form? The coding we use can be complicated to keep adding characters to when we do 20+ at a time sometimes. So to make things easier, this little form breaks the information up so we can assembly-line the info into our code!

Guidebook Revamp!


The guidebook has reverted back to Tharamos’s Reign once more. It also has had the navigation rearranged so it makes more sense and easier to navigate. There have been a few new inclusions to various sections of the guidebook, so go take a peek!

Newbie Guide!


After what feels like forever, we finally have a newbie guide! This will help new members or potential members get an idea for how to navigate around the site. If you have any suggestions, feel free to ask a staff member found in the blue color!

Content Updates!


The Legends page has been updated to include 4 new legends, courtesy of @Kila. The Items page is also being revamped to include more thorough descriptions of some missing items we had in the shop.

Credits Page Added!


How have we gone this long without one?? Well fear no more! Check out our new credits page! We have all the credits for everything anyone has done to contribute to the site ranging from artwork to code, species, creatures, and more. It is broken down based on who is the original writer and who did edits if it was writing. If writing or artwork was done for our species and creatures, credits now appear under the basic information. Thank you everyone who has contributed. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Discord Integration!


We’re a big community on using our Discord, but we also have areas on the forum to use! So to support this, we have found ways to integrate our forum into Discord a bit better. These changes will be happening over the next month, but look out!

One of the biggest things is when someone posts in a specific area such as Looking for Threads, a message will show up in the Discord in the corresponding channel. This is to encourage you guys to post more to those areas on the board! Remember, you get gold (the site’s currency) to use for shop items when you post on the site!

We have also switched our cbox replacement from TitansEmbeds to widgetbot.io. It should provide a better experience to chat from the forum, so I encourage you all to use it! You can sign in with your discord there too, so it’ll be posted from your account with your name and avatar, just with BOT next to it! Widgetbot will allow for more fun features, so watch out for those as well slowly add them!

Mee6-kun is back! After Mee-kun worked so hard to give us levels along with Tatsu-kun, staff realized we didn’t need 2 leveling systems, so Mee-kun has been quietly waiting for a job. Well, staff is glad to bring back Mee-kun with Antarsia Fun Facts! These will be facts posted 1-2 times a day that reflect small facts about… well just about anything Antarsia related! This can range from info on the species to the gods, stuff staff did when contributing, to really anything! Enjoy and let Mee-kun know how much we’ve missed them!!

Referral Program!


Staff is excited to announce our new Referral Program! There are fun rewards to claim the more members who are referred by you! This can be redeemable for any member who has joined started January 1st, 2018 and will be available permanently. More information can be found in the Referral Program thread.


Map Update!


The maps of Antarsia have been updated to include all recognized locations in Antarsia. This include landmarks, shrines, cities, villages, and more! Every location that has a written description is now on the map, so go check it out!

Rumors now spread, fear begins to take hold. Dark things are taking root in Antarsia, and now it seems even the Gods are turning on us.

The Kirins, the Unicorns, the Phoenixes, the Wolves, and the Sphinxes. The last was made by our very own, Cassiopeia!

The Demons and Angels have been given two new houses each!! Please welcome the new Demon houses of Martyrs and Terrors! Also welcome the Angel houses of Faith and Love! Both are more known as nomadic than their other house members who have stable lands. Since the demons and angels were updated, their respective companions, the helvates and kirkastas, have been updated as well. Go enjoy the new babes we have to offer!

The Fruit of Knowledge -- Item that grants sentience to non-sentient creatures
Life’s Tear -- Item that can bring back the dead
Lunar Blossom -- Item that weakens the effects of curses, but cannot remove them
Solar Blossom -- Item that strengthens the effects of curses
Temptation Fruit -- Item that turns an Angel into a Demon
Holy Fruit -- Item that turns a Demon into an Angel
Sinful Chocolate -- Item that lets a demon embody one of the seven deadly sins
Divine Truffles -- Item that lets an angel embody one of the seven heavenly virtues

Please note that you can only use the Temptation Fruit or Holy Fruit once on a character. That means if they are a demon, you can only use the Holy Fruit once to make them an angel. You cannot use a Temptation Fruit on them after. This is to prevent changing the characters back and forth between the two. So please, if you wish to change your character, choose very wisely about using this.

The Sinful Chocolates will come with more information soon enough. So stay tuned!

This event has been spread across the world through word of mouth. No one seems to understand why or how this happened. How can a fire oracle die by fire? The rumors grow darker every day, and mixed feelings are shared by many.

We also added a new skin option for this plot <3 If you wish to go back to the Tharamos skin or try one of the other ones we have to offer, go to the bottom righthand corner of the index page to change it out. Enjoy!

Hey guys it's been a while and a lot has happened since then. We are excited with the things we get to tell you about in this letter. 

NEW GUIDEBOOK



This took rather a long time but we have a new guidebook! YESSS. Coded by our very own Achera. The site also has a new skin to match it so enjoy! The guidebook itself has taken a lot of lore and allowed it to be in one easily accessible location for everyone to use. We are currently working on a timeline for IC lore as well so people can reference large events from the past in their posts. 

We also have a legends section under works! Now this is a very particular section where every now and then staff will pull something someone wrote or even an idea from current lore and allow it to be made into a legend. We may even accept some that are submitted to us! This is a good way to just flex your writing skills if you just want a free write instead of a post.

God page is being redone. The current page style is still there but the info will be expanded upon in the coming month. Please be patient as we try to accommodate all the new art and lore for them we will have filtering in soon.

Staff has been hard at work trying to stabilize the site better and bring you guys new content! It has been awhile since our last update, but fear not! We have some exciting news to share with you all. We are proud to say that there are 3 new species added to the guidebook as well as a new curse! Please welcome the new lesser species: the Helvates, the Kirkastas, and the Driares and the new curse, Chimeras!

We also have a new item available in the shop called Reverse Reality. It allows same couple sex to have a baby for even for a male to have a baby in a female and male couple. It is an enchanted item that can be applied to any piece of jewelry such as rings, necklaces, and more. The wearer of the item is the one who will carry the child. In order for this to work, the person must wear the item for the duration of their pregnancy from conception to delivery. It may be removed for up to half a day, but must be immediately placed back on or they risk losing the child. This allows for bathes and other activities if the wearer does not want to damage the item. Once the child is born, the item no longer works and acts like a normal piece of jewelry. 

Staff has been busy trying to create a better user experience for our members on the board. As part of that, the guidebook and the species pages will be receiving a new updated look in the coming weeks. At the moment you will see a new navigation bar added running across all the species and map pages. There will be a new splash page for species added so the dropdown link to the species is not as long as it is now. Please bear with us as we try to make this transition! The elementals image as also been updated to keep in the style with the rest of the species art. We are excited to bring you these new updates and hope you guys enjoy them!

New Species!


As mentioned before, we have 3 new species and a new curse. The Helvates are a race of wolves who have adapted to living with the demons. Each one shares similar curses of the house they live with. The Kirkastas are the Helvates opposite; they are wolves who have adapted to living with angels. Just like the Helvates, they feature similar curses to the house they live with as a way to make life easier when living in coexistence. The driares are a race of equine. They are considered the most diverse group of creatures in Antarsia. Driares are found throughout Antarsia from living within kingdoms to having their own herds in the wild. Each has adapted to its habitat much like the Helvates and Kirkastas. These all are considered lesser species as they are created through two Gods' combined magic.

The Chimeras are a new curse that affect hybrids. No matter how small the percentage, a hybrid can be affected by this curse. However, unlike other curses it is at random when it will appear. Two parents can have multiple children but only one exhibit the chimera trait. The opposite is just as likely where they have multiple children who all exhibit the curse except for one.

Champions & New Plot Positions!


With the introduction of the new lesser species, we now have Champions! Champions are the lesser species' equivalent to the oracles. Champions are an individual agreed upon by the two gods that created the new species. They are often gifted in some form that sets them apart from the other member. Most often they are the leaders of their group but not always. A champion can turn down the position. Rarely is there more then one champion per population but it is not unheard of.

Each new species has champions available for plot positions! We have added other new plot positions for leaders in various herds or packs. Go check them out!

Staff has been working on trying to bring what members would like to see most to the site. If you have any suggestions for a new species, a new item, or any other type of suggestion, feel free to post in SUGGESTIONS or message a staff member!

Plot!


The plot has started! It is still in the early stages so if you are not apart of it already, feel free to jump right in! You can find the plot HERE.
This will be moving into the next stages within the next week or two. At any point you are allowed to jump in with new characters or leave if you no longer wish to participate. This is an open thread, so anyone is welcomed!

News and Updates

Staff has been hard at work trying to stabilize the site better and bring you guys new content! It has been awhile since our last update, but fear not! We have some exciting news to share with you all. We are proud to say that there are 3 new species added to the guidebook as well as a new curse! Please welcome the new lesser species: the Helvates, the Kirkastas, and the Driares and the new curse, Chimeras!

We also have a new item available in the shop called Reverse Reality. It allows same couple sex to have a baby for even for a male to have a baby in a female and male couple. It is an enchanted item that can be applied to any piece of jewelry such as rings, necklaces, and more. The wearer of the item is the one who will carry the child. In order for this to work, the person must wear the item for the duration of their pregnancy from conception to delivery. It may be removed for up to half a day, but must be immediately placed back on or they risk losing the child. This allows for bathes and other activities if the wearer does not want to damage the item. Once the child is born, the item no longer works and acts like a normal piece of jewelry. 

Staff has been busy trying to create a better user experience for our members on the board. As part of that, the guidebook and the species pages will be receiving a new updated look in the coming weeks. At the moment you will see a new navigation bar added running across all the species and map pages. There will be a new splash page for species added so the dropdown link to the species is not as long as it is now. Please bear with us as we try to make this transition! The elementals image as also been updated to keep in the style with the rest of the species art. We are excited to bring you these new updates and hope you guys enjoy them!

Welcome all new members! We hope you enjoy your stay in Antarsia. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to poke staff. We're here to help you!

New Species!


As mentioned before, we have 3 new species and a new curse. The Helvates are a race of wolves who have adapted to living with the demons. Each one shares similar curses of the house they live with. The Kirkastas are the Helvates opposite; they are wolves who have adapted to living with angels. Just like the Helvates, they feature similar curses to the house they live with as a way to make life easier when living in coexistence. The driares are a race of equine. They are considered the most diverse group of creatures in Antarsia. Driares are found throughout Antarsia from living within kingdoms to having their own herds in the wild. Each has adapted to its habitat much like the Helvates and Kirkastas. These all are considered lesser species as they are created through two Gods' combined magic.

The site has officially opened up to the public. We have also opened up positions for royals and oracles. The plot will commence soon enough, but for now get those characters applications in and poke staff to approve them!
Our shop has been successfully installed thanks to Kat! It was a tricky adventure but she got it. We have also added a few items to the shop already with more to come.
Also thank you again Kat for hosting us and coding this amazing site.
Chibis coming in soon! These will be used to code pages for the lion prides, gryphon flights, wolf prides, and dragon flights. We do not have an exact date on this however.
Staff would also like to mention that we will host games soon once the site has become more stable. These games will be ways to get magical items, or more gold to buy things from the shop. A few items will be available through playing in these games as well, so keep a look out for them!
There are at least three more species going to be released in the very near future called Kirkastas, Helvates, and Tarsians. There will, of course, always be more coming, but get excited cause more species means more positions are opening up with the release of new lore!
A BIG SECRET (not really) there has been talk with Kat to make our top banner have information on it upon hover. The things that will be placed here are OTMs and potentially other things like sisters sites. What would you guys like to see here?
