Appearance

Light: The weaker kirkastas glow faintly, as if parts of their bodies could produce minor lights. Stronger kirkastas glow more noticeably, with the strongest almost appearing to be made out of light. All Light kirkastas have a glowing gem embedded in their foreheads.

The Champion has wisps of the light follow behind them as if it were smoke. It lingers no matter where they go, but dissipates without a few seconds. They are able to make physical-like objects out of the wisps and glow of their pelts such as rocks, chains, etc. It has been said the Champion can even make wings to fly if they do not have any themselves.

Life: Life look like elementals, to a degree. They appear to be at least partially composed of whatever element they are skilled with. Stronger Life kirkastas appear more controlled with the element, appearing more pure.

The Champion sports a constant ring of the element they are skilled with around them whether it be floating next to them, or wrapped around their neck or legs, it always is a last resort should their element not be around if in battle. One part of their body is physically made of the element with it being as small as just their toes on one paw to half of the Champion itself.

Plenty: Plenty wolves are more noticeable predators than the others. Possessing large claws, saber-fangs, spines, or some combination of the above. They are also the most lean of the kirkastas.

The Champion is longer than the average wolf. They are extremely muscular and have thicker fur around their necks to prevent serious injury. They are considered the most animalistic of the kirkastas and questionably the darkest for their bloodlust.

Liberty: Liberty wolves have the unique benefit of being winged. Stronger wolves may also feature other birdlike traits such as talons or hawk eyes. They are the lightest and considered more physically weak of the four types, but make up for it in magic and strategy. Bones are a bit lighter to support their flight.

The Champion sport the largest set of wings amongst liberty wolves, making them easy to identify. They also feature the ability to have dragon wings instead of bird wings and other dragon-like features. They exhibit scales as well instead of fur ranging from only a couple on the face to the entire body being replaced with scales.

Faith: Faith give a heavenly aura about them as if they glow, but not in the same way as Light kirkastas. It is pure as if all sins are washed away from the body. The stronger the kirkasta, the stronger the aura appears.

The Champion has an extremely strong heavenly aura around them that it often gets confused for a Light kirkasta. It can make all those around it calmer, even those about to go to war.

Love: Love appear like puppies with small wings. They do not grow much larger than a few months with the strongest only reaching the size of a normal teenage kirkasta.

The Champion has large wings compared to the smaller ones most Love have. They are often seen as the largest Love kirkastas as well.

Abilities

Kirkastas tend to use only one element but they are really good with that one element. It is almost unheard of to hear them actually being able to use another element. They tend to stay in small packs of five the most living nomadic allowing them to go more undetected by those that are causing trouble.

Light: Only can use fire or light magic due to their affinity to light magic. They do not bleed blood, but instead lose light or energy through the wound in the form of glowing liquid corresponding to their pelt glow. This causes the kirkasta to lose the glow of their pelts based on their life force. Other light kirkastas are able to help an injured companion by giving some of their own 'glow' or life force to the other to speed up their recovery. In the sun, light wolves are able to heal their wounds almost instantaneously depending on the severity.

Life: The strongest magically. They are able to call their element from almost anywhere, though there are some limitations like looking for water in a desert. However, the strongest of the life wolves are able to specialize their element to make water appear from the air or grow plants in a desert despite there being no water around.

Plenty: Tank like. Their thicker muscles make it harder for them to get a wound that would stop them from fighting. They live for battles and prefer physical combat to magical.

Faith: Their aura causes peace for those around them. They are masters of light magic along with one other element of their choosing.

Love: Despite their small wings, these guys are still able to fly. They are able to sense when two individuals may be infatuated with each other.

History

Not long after angels and wolves were created, the two species met. Living nearby each other, the angels and wolves quickly formed an alliance, working together to live in harmony and safety. As their relationship grew, the wolves gifted the angels with a single royal pup and four non-royal pups, for a total of five pups. The angels took the pups in--one for each house, caring for them and imbuing them with protective spells and the light magic that their kind was known for. The pups grew and flourished and soon had pups of their own, the royal wolf breeding with the other wolves to strengthen the wolves of all the houses.

However, before the pups were born, Vaerath and Cysnial took note of the alliances between their two patron species, and decided to gift the coming pups with qualities that would suit them for their lives with the angels. Thus when the pups were born, they were far different than what their parents had been, for they were a new species, dubbed the kirkastas by the angels and wolves alike. These kirkastas guarded their corresponding houses, keeping the angels safe and working to communicate between the angels and the wolves of Katakarthia. Generations passed, and the species grew, developing characteristics in accordance with the houses they belonged to thanks to the magic that the angels continued to place into them to aid the wolves in their development.
