Hey guys it's been a while and a lot has happened since then. We are excited with the things we get to tell you about in this letter. 

<h3><div class="h3-underline">NEW GUIDEBOOK</div></h3>

This took rather a long time but we have a new guidebook! YESSS. Coded by our very own Achera. The site also has a new skin to match it so enjoy! The guidebook itself has taken a lot of lore and allowed it to be in one easily accessible location for everyone to use. We are currently working on a timeline for IC lore as well so people can reference large events from the past in their posts. 

We also have a legends section under works! Now this is a very particular section where every now and then staff will pull something someone wrote or even an idea from current lore and allow it to be made into a legend. We may even accept some that are submitted to us! This is a good way to just flex your writing skills if you just want a free write instead of a post.

God page is being redone. The current page style is still there but the info will be expanded upon in the coming month. Please be patient as we try to accommodate all the new art and lore for them we will have filtering in soon.

It's been a month since you've heard from us guys and we're sorry for the wait! It's been a long month, but we're always working on making Antarsia better for you guys. Below are some awesome updates to keep you guys in the loop.

<h3><div class="h3-underline">Activity Check!</div></h3>
Since there are a number of inactive accounts and a lull in role-play, we will be implementing activity checks now. These are not going to be done every month, but once in awhile when we see it is time for this. Please make sure to check in HERE!

There is a new species and map page design implemented across the site! Now you can check out our responsive site that you can few from any device. The species also received a much needed splash page to keep them all in one place so you can few them all without the annoying dropdown menu we had before. They are also organized by humanoid, mythical creature, and animalistic. Each species has a color coded symbol next to it to showcase its affinity to good, bad, or neutral.

Staff has been hard at work trying to stabilize the site better and bring you guys new content! It has been awhile since our last update, but fear not! We have some exciting news to share with you all. We are proud to say that there are 3 new species added to the guidebook as well as a new curse! Please welcome the new lesser species: the Helvates, the Kirkastas, and the Driares and the new curse, Chimeras!

We also have a new item available in the shop called Reverse Reality. It allows same couple sex to have a baby for even for a male to have a baby in a female and male couple. It is an enchanted item that can be applied to any piece of jewelry such as rings, necklaces, and more. The wearer of the item is the one who will carry the child. In order for this to work, the person must wear the item for the duration of their pregnancy from conception to delivery. It may be removed for up to half a day, but must be immediately placed back on or they risk losing the child. This allows for bathes and other activities if the wearer does not want to damage the item. Once the child is born, the item no longer works and acts like a normal piece of jewelry. 

Staff has been busy trying to create a better user experience for our members on the board. As part of that, the guidebook and the species pages will be receiving a new updated look in the coming weeks. At the moment you will see a new navigation bar added running across all the species and map pages. There will be a new splash page for species added so the dropdown link to the species is not as long as it is now. Please bear with us as we try to make this transition! The elementals image as also been updated to keep in the style with the rest of the species art. We are excited to bring you these new updates and hope you guys enjoy them!

Welcome all new members! We hope you enjoy your stay in Antarsia. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to poke staff. We're here to help you!

<h3><div class="h3-underline">New Species!</div></h3>
As mentioned before, we have 3 new species and a new curse. The Helvates are a race of wolves who have adapted to living with the demons. Each one shares similar curses of the house they live with. The Kirkastas are the Helvates opposite; they are wolves who have adapted to living with angels. Just like the Helvates, they feature similar curses to the house they live with as a way to make life easier when living in coexistence. The driares are a race of equine. They are considered the most diverse group of creatures in Antarsia. Driares are found throughout Antarsia from living within kingdoms to having their own herds in the wild. Each has adapted to its habitat much like the Helvates and Kirkastas. These all are considered lesser species as they are created through two Gods' combined magic.

The Chimeras are a new curse that affect hybrids. No matter how small the percentage, a hybrid can be affected by this curse. However, unlike other curses it is at random when it will appear. Two parents can have multiple children but only one exhibit the chimera trait. The opposite is just as likely where they have multiple children who all exhibit the curse except for one. 

Go show these new guys some love!

With the introduction of the new lesser species, we now have Champions! Champions are the lesser species' equivalent to the oracles. Champions are an individual agreed upon by the two gods that created the new species. They are often gifted in some form that sets them apart from the other member. Most often they are the leaders of their group but not always. A champion can turn down the position. Rarely is there more then one champion per population but it is not unheard of.

Each new species has champions available for plot positions! We have added other new plot positions for leaders in various herds or packs. Go check them out!

Character's Name: Lyanna Spiritfell

Nicknames: Ly, Lys, Li-li

Age: Ancient, but looks in her 20s

Gender: Female

Species: Kitsune

Abilities:

Illusion: Like most kistunes, she has complete control of illusion magic. She has been known to mess with others with her illusions, but through the years she has been more relaxed about them.

Water: Of the main elements, Lyanna is known best for her affinity for water. Being a powerful kitsune on her 8th tail, she has been able to master the element to her will. Her best trick is to be able to pull water from thin air to use as she wishes.

Ice: Due to her affinity for water magic, Lyanna has learned to master it by freezing the element to master is as ice rather than water. She most commonly will use ice magic rather than her water when in a pinch due to its ability to be more offensive than defensive. When she is extremely mad, she does not have as much control over her powers. It is said that the temperature around her will drop considerably. The ground has been known to ice over as well. On occasion, it has snowed depending on her mood.


Appearance:
In her fox form, she embodies the essence of winter. Her fur is thicker than most other foxes. Her fur is softer than silk where the longer, thicker fur is around her neck and at her paws. Her fur is a very light icy blue base with multitudes of light blues and purples blending together throughout her fur. They are sprinkled with patches of white as well thrown in. On back near and around her rump are dotted patches of darker blue/purple fur that vary in size from small little points to some larger areas. All are blended in and on the lighter fur. The same dotted, blended fur is on her ends of her cheeks. Lyanna has 8 very silky tails that are not like other fox’s fur. Instead having the bushy look, all her fur is in long silk strands that match the same snowy mixed colors she has.

Her nose and pawpads are the darkest parts with a navy blue tint. Her eyes are ringed in a light blue/purple mix with a few dots near it. Her eyes are a silvery-white with a constant twinkle in her eyes. It is said if you look closely in her eyes, you can see the snow in her eyes falling with a phase of the moon reflected in them as well. Her star ball is hidden somewhere in her fur.

As a kitsune, she has a human form as well to hide her fox form. Lyanna is fair skinned in tone as if the light of the moon had bleached her skin. It is unknown if that is her natural skin color, some sort of makeup she uses, or if it is an illusion she constantly uses to keep her complexion so fair. Despite standing 5’6, her appearance from afar makes her look as if she is taller than what she actually is. Her structure is overall thin though she is overall in proportion to give her this thin appearance. She has more meat on her than some other girls, but it is accented in all the right places.

Her hair is a dark blue as if it were night that fades down into a light icy blue. Her where is shiny that it appears as if it twinkles on occasion as if the stars have been embedded in her hair. It could just be some sort of shimmer she applies in her hair as well. Her straight silky hair flows down her back down to her back and ends just past the hallow of her back. Her eyes are the same color in her human form as it is in her fox form.




Personality:

Vixen: As a kitsune, she loves to mess with others and one of the ways she likes to play is by flirting. She uses her appeal to entice men only to either blow them off or use them for her own sexual desires. She prefers to flirt and often will make a game out of it whether it be seeing how many men she can get in a night, or how many she can relationships she can break.

Promiscuous: Part of her vixen-like personality is her sexual desires. With some of her questionable behavior, she has been known to take some to her bed. She loves to show off her body and see how many of them she can entice.

Submissive: With those she knows she is shyer and can be submissive to them. She plays the part of a well trained dog to them and will follow them easily.

Dominant: While she can be very submissive, she is able to switch to a dominant personality as well. She doesn’t always like to be at the mercy of another and will command both other’s attention and respect when desired.

The site has officially opened up to the public. We have also opened up positions for royals and oracles. The plot will commence soon enough, but for now get those characters applications in and poke staff to approve them!
Our shop has been successfully installed thanks to Kat! It was a tricky adventure but she got it. We have also added a few items to the shop already with more to come.
Also thank you again Kat for hosting us and coding this amazing site.
Chibis coming in soon! These will be used to code pages for the lion prides, gryphon flights, wolf prides, and dragon flights. We do not have an exact date on this however.
Staff would also like to mention that we will host games soon once the site has become more stable. These games will be ways to get magical items, or more gold to buy things from the shop. A few items will be available through playing in these games as well, so keep a look out for them!
There are at least three more species going to be released in the very near future called Kirkastas, Helvates, and Tarsians. There will, of course, always be more coming, but get excited cause more species means more positions are opening up with the release of new lore!
A BIG SECRET (not really) there has been talk with Kat to make our top banner have information on it upon hover. The things that will be placed here are OTMs and potentially other things like sisters sites. What would you guys like to see here?

Age: 626 but appears only 19 years old in human form
Species: Kitsune

 <h3><div class="h3-underline">the personality</div></h3>
Calix can be describe in many ways, but he is first and foremost true to his nature. He is indeed a trickster and loves a good prank. Even though sometimes he does get a bit out of hand with his tricks, he has somewhat of a heart at least.
His tricks are something he takes pride in and he crafts everything from that smallest detail. It does have an effect on him and he often considers each illusion like a child to him and he makes sure to do his research before even doing the basic part of the prank, the set up. This shows that Calix is detail oriented. If the prank is not something that can happen, he probably would not do it. He doesn't want to waste his time on making someone believe the impossible, but he would rather toy with them and let their wildest dreams come true before ripping them away. 
The kitsune is also not really know for his love of kids. He tends to avoid them while he's in fox form. He also likes to avoid most kids in human form because he doesn't like to watch them cry if they get caught up in one of his jokes. He has a heart at times. Although, such a thing is hard to say when he seems to openly distaste anything that is not kitsune and refuses to train anyone in magic that is not of his race. He has only made one exception for this rule, and has no intention of making another.
Calix by all means is blunt. He doesn't like to sugar coat the truth for anyone. This has often led to have people think he is heartless and a jerk in most cases. Even if such claims is true, he feels it is more important to try to prepare a person for the real world than to lie about what is out there. Especially with those he cares for, he seems to even be more jagged around the edges. It is because he feels that the more he coats the truth, the most he will doom them to fail in the real world and thus possibly leading to their deaths. 
Although, he seems to be a bit loose with his tongue, he rarely cusses and swears in front of others. He finds it idiotic, to say the least, to lose one's cool in front of others. It would given them something to use against him at a later date. He not only prefers not to swears, mostly in front of strangers and kids, he is the type that would give his life for a friend. If a way is found to get past the hard exterior, there is someone who actually cares for others. He would give his life for those he loves, even though he often scolds them and gives the impression of being distant from feelings of love.
The kitsune is known to be anti-social. He doesn't like to make new friends and doesn't go out of his way to make them feel welcome around him. He would rather someone tell them what they wand and then leave instead of trying to make small talk. Unless he wants to talk to someone, he will often just go quiet and go about his business as if they are not there.
 <h3><div class="h3-underline">the abilities</div></h3>
<b>Illusions</b> Like his father and so many others of his species he does have the power of illusions. He is decent at them but it is clear he doesn't practice as often as he should for a kitsune with six tails. He is somewhat lacking in some regards and sloppy missing minor details here and there. Often he prefers to use this with a mix of his natural element as well to give a more realistic appearance and touch to his subjects he creates. However, if he had to choose he'd rather shy away from the gift of illusions preferring to practice his dark arts more in earth magic. When he does practice illusions it's normally not a good thing.
<b>Earth magic</b> Calix is most skilled with his earth magic having put most of his efforts in to learning about how to work with this form of magic. He, like most earth users, has a weakness to fire magic since it can burn away some of the trees and forestry he creates. However, should he decide to move the very ground itself in an earthquake water is more of a weakness. He has been spending massive amounts of time honing his skills trying to minimize his weakness for his own protection from his own kind and those that hunt kitsune. 
<b>Royal</b> Despite being a royal kitsune like his father he finds it very hard to make his illusions a reality. He had been told it is because of his sheer refusal to work on them to make them perfect. He thinks it's his age. He hasn't gained all nine tails being so young and part of him blames thathe on his short coming.

 <h3><div class="h3-underline">the appearance </div></h3>
Calix is tall and lean similar to his father, but favors more of a human structure similar to his late mother. He does have his father's bicolored hair. He didn't have snowy white hair like his dad but instead sports the black hair color as the main base from his mother either white streaks in his hair that are the same color as his father's giving him a slight salt and pepper look in his hair. His hair is short cut with long layers. His eyes are a very dark gray so close to black that it is hard to determine the difference between the iris and the pupil.
His skin is fair with a slight tan. Over the years he has collected various tattoos along his body. The first tattoo he got went all the way around his neck in strange symbols that actually mean nothing to anyone but him. They are not words nor symbols for words. They're just something that point to his past and often he wears a collar to hide them from view from wandering eyes. He doesn't really like to share them because of how many people have asked what they mean. The next tattoo he got was his sleeve on his right arm which is a collection of tribal symbols each one referring to a different point in his life. His last tattoo is the most recent only having appeared in the last ten years. It is a tattoo across his left breast and sliding down the left side of his chest disappearing into his pants were very few know where it leads. This tattoo is the most intricate and often he just says it is a charm to keep people out but in reality it's part of his story.
He dresses in a style similar to his father with a more punk style. Often found with boots, black pants, and a lot of chains and belts with the potential no shirt look is often what Calix wears. He really enjoys to wear the collar around his neck the most and that one always has a chain on it that he often plays with without really thinking about what he is doing when he plays with it.

His cheeks are also white along with the inside of his ears. Along his black fur he has small markings of red slashes that are inherited from his father who had been a red kitsune however unlike his tall kitsune father he is actually the size of a regular fox. He is much smaller like his mother had been and often he uses this to his advantage to hide. Along his tails are black markings that almost form little hooks with red on the inside. The tips of his tail is also red. His fur is very short and silky. The red markings are great for hiding in the summer weather however in winter he finds it hard to do without cloaking himself with an illusion.

Character's Name: Z'laenna

Titles: Lady of the Lash, Mistress of Binds.

Age: Over 1000 years old, though appears to be in her late twenties.

Gender: Female

Species: War Demon Royal

Appearance
Her usual form is that of a human woman. She is not particularly tall, but is not short either. She has shoulder length silver hair, framing a pale face. Red eyes glow from behind her bands, which are pushed back whenever she considers herself superior to her company. The shape of her face is definitely noble, though a closed, third eye tattoo is covered on her head.

Normally, she can be found wearing a mixture of armor and fine clothe. Her outfit is always colored with the royal purple, and has shoulder-pads that have occasionally been described as 'large enough to land a dragon on.' In truth, they are only large enough to land a falcon on, which is actually their purpose. She rarely wears headgear, and only wears one small earring, though the ear changes. A necklace, with a gem, goes down her low-cut top, meant to throw off people talking to her so she can manipulate them better.

True Form

In her true form, Z'laenna appears in heavy plate armor, with several severe battle-wounds along her chest and arms, including a gaping hole over her stomach that extends through her body. Torrents of blood flow from these wounds. The covered tattoo becomes a real eye, through which she can project her magic.

Personality
Arrogant, aloof and incredibly confident, Z'laenna has a commanding presence. To those she views as her subjects, she is distant, but welcoming, helpful and almost compassionate. To those who do not qualify for that description, she is distant and mocking, treating them as one would a child. The exceptions to this rule are few and far between, normally other Royals. She still tends to be rather sarcastic and her general tone is 'vaguely amused'.

She truly does care for her people, however, and will do whatever it takes to ensure that they will survive. Those who would do harm to her people will find no mercy at her hands. She views her people as an extension of herself, and therefore treats an insult to them as an insult to herself. She is creative and manipulative, enjoying the politics of her position quite happily. 

Abilities
Z'laenna is a master of Puppetry based magics. She will use wires as the binding threads, either forging them directly into puppets or using them to bind something else to serve the purpose. She can work magic through her puppets, though at greater cost than if she used it directly. Her most dangerous puppetry is using the wires to bind another creature to her will. While directly overriding someone's control of their own body takes effort, and requires greater effort the stronger the individual in question is, she mostly keeps them under her control with the threat of losing their freewill.

She is a master of earth and water magics, capable of manipulating blood as a weapon, forging it into spears or blades. Her most dangerous asset is her immense reserves of power, which she can use to make her large-scale puppetry possible. She is always accompanied by her familiars, a series of controlled animals and statues that can act as her eyes and ears when away from her.

Her greatest weapon, however, is something known only as the Sovereigns. What they are, or if they even exist, is unknown to all but a few. It is an ability of pure magic, projected through the third eye in her true form. It creates a sphere of magic which brands those struck by it with a powerful curse. Depending on her intention when cast, it can bind the target, weaken them, or draw misfortune their way. Using this ability on an individual will drain her reserves to the breaking point, no matter how much energy she had left.
