Golem

Golems are constructs made out of materials, usually clay, and given life by runes carved into their bodies, which allow them to draw in the vikta around them. They’re usually found as assistants. These are extremely rare creatures and must be purchased through the site's shop in order to create one.

Aging

Golems do not age, and exist in the form they are created with

Average Lifespan: Immortal unless destroyed by outside means

Diet

Appearance

Golems can look like anything, though once created their appearance is set. They are built from a variety of materials: stone, ice, snow, clay, etc. Clay is the most popular medium for golems because it’s easily shaped and sculpted. Golems can be any shape or size, it all depends on what need their creator is creating them to fulfil. It’s worth noting that the larger the golem, the more magic it takes to create and maintain.

Their bodies are covered in magic runes that glow softly. These runes give them life and bind them to their creator. It’s rare for a golem to have free will, as the amount of magic it would take is almost certainly fatal to the caster.

Many golems have metal bands that prevent them from ignoring orders.

Abilities

Golems are constructs that exist to serve whatever purpose they were created for. Most are created for manual labor, and are physically strong because of it. As such golems can have a wide array of physical abilities.

Golems are incapable of using magic, and can only absorb latent vikta in the environment around them. This vikta continues to keep their body functioning, and should their ability to absorb vikta be interrupted, the golem will eventually become inactive. This usually happens when their runes become damaged in some way.

An inactive golem can be restored if the proper runes are restored and vikta is once again imparted into them. In more extreme cases one must repair a golem’s body before the runes can be repaired.

Golems can live almost indefinitely, and many will carry on with their tasks long after their creator has died.

Many golems are capable of thought, though not always independent. These golems are capable of speech by projecting their thoughts into the minds around them.

Culture

These beings have no culture; they were created to serve their makers. A golem that has been given free will will often roam the lands in search of a purpose, questioning why they were created and set adrift in a world that doesn’t need them.
