Appearance

The body of a bibi is round and balloon like, and includes their head and all of their organs in one place. They come in all manner of colors, looking much like the flowers they surround themselves with, and their fuzzy bodies are patterned by delicate swirls or stripes. Bibi have a single pair of small translucent wings on their back.

Their eyes are large and compounded, and are made up of many hundreds of smaller eyes, allowing them to see the world in a way others cannot. They can even see in ultraviolet light!

Bibi have three pairs of little legs--six total--and these are used primarily to cling to flowers while they feed on nectar.

Abilities

Bibi have no particular magical affinities. In fact, they don’t even have any physical ones. All bibi are capable of is controlling how fly they float, which is their only defense against predators. Even a strong breeze blows them away, and this is their primary mode of travel.

Culture

Bibi are notoriously gentle creatures. They spend their days lazily floating around fields and meadows until a strong breeze comes through and blows them to a new location. The definition of go with the flow, bibi seem to have no cares in the world aside from eating.

These pollinators are a welcome sign for many farmers, and many of them go out of their way to protect these gentle insects. Taming them is easy, simply have a field of flowering plants and a gentle touch, and the bibi will flock for your attention. The only difficult part of keeping bibi is protecting them from the wind.

Bibi reproduction is simple: the species is parthenogenic. All a bibi has to do in order to reproduce is lay an egg, which grows into a large flower. From the bud of the flower hatches a fully formed bibi, which then grows to full size over the course of a year.
